I used to be crazy about thrift stores – and I still am. But a few months back, I got busier on our days out. And also, I felt I was spending too much money at thrift stores on items that I didn’t really need. Since then, I have been hitting the thrift stores just a time or two per month. Yesterday we went to Goodwill and here’s what I found…

St. Vincent de Paul had ladies clothes on sale this week. I was kind of looking for pants, and was rewarded by finding 2 pairs of jeans and 1 pair of cargo pants – for $1 each.

Wednesday, when thrift shopping, we found:
Jansport small purse-size backpacks for the girls. It was funny because we were looking for purse/backpacks for their California trip. Each backpack is a new-condition. $1.99.
The Paisley Pincushion Scalloped Apron pattern. 25 cents.

Desk, $20. I am getting a laptop computer. The current computer will become the kids’ school computer. We’re setting up a wireless network in the house, but even so, I don’t imagine I’ll be carrying the laptop all around, so I need a desk. At Goodwill on Wednesday, the kids and I found this table. Let’s see… This week, I went to thrift stores on three days! That’s because my parents have been in town. Thrifting is one of our favorite activities and we were more active this week, out and about, because of their visit. I’ll try to remember everything I’ve found.

The Oil Decanters I Found on Wednesday
These are the large oil decanters I found at Goodwill on Wednesday. The glass is a light green, though it is hard to tell here. The green oil is expeller-pressed grapeseed oil and the yellowish oil is extra virgin olive oil.

I did hold back on the shop browsing because I knew we were going to a lady’s house at 4:30 to look through her fabric stash. She’s been telling me about giving/selling me her fabric for over a year, maybe two. She works at one of the thrift stores and noticed that I always buy fabric.
