CD/DVD Storage on Bookshelf

boxes-bookshelf

Haniya finished up the monumental job of minimizing and organizing all our CDs and DVDs. Here are two boxes of CDs and two boxes of DVDs, fitting in a small space on the bookshelf. The contents of these boxes were previously taking up space in a huge cupboard (now given over to much needed space for storing mason jars) and a drawer.

Organizing CDs and DVDs

When I was in college, I could fit all my CDs in one little plastic box. I got rid of the CD cases and put all the CDs in CD/DVD sleeves. Fast forward the 12 years since then; no more sleeves purchased. DVDs and CDs have positively overrun several drawers and a cupboard.

Mikah (Cute) at the Piano

I am biased, I know. But I think he’s so cute. And obviously talented. ;) And just listen to his giggle. So, enjoy. If you get tired of my videos, feel free to stop watching them. Really, it’s okay if you don’t watch every one.

1. I have added another open-source software solution to my arsenal. (Arsenal being used in a positive sense, of course.) For many years and until last month, we kept track of our finances through an awesome spreadsheet that my husband created. He gave it automatic operations, filtering, and balancing tools. But recently, in an effort [...]

Okay, Now I Feel Better!

Yesterday, I got to the point where I couldn’t stand it anymore! I’m talking about my house. Too bad I can’t ditch it for a new one, at least not yet. We live in a fairly-new manufactured home and I am thankful that God has given it to us to provide us with shelter, warmth, [...]

Started My Rearranging

I never can tell when the bug will hit. This one hit after 3 pm yesterday afternoon, not normally the time I start something new. But the sewing room was a mess, so I figured it was as good a time as any. I sorted through and organized things, moved one of the long tables [...]

Rearranging on My Mind

I’m not sure what to do yet, though. The rearranging would involve the family/sewing room and the living room. We no longer have to keep the computer by the phone line, as we aren’t on dial-up anymore. That would be nice to tuck it away somewhere. Someone may be giving us a piano, and I [...]

Cleaning the Dishwasher

Just telling you about it… haven’t done it yet. My dishwasher’s performance has really been lacking lately. So lacking that I’ve been washing dishes by hand for the last month. This looks like a good guide, so I’m going to follow it. Clean and Maintain a Dishwasher

Please Take My Poll

Are you interested in sensible kitchen tool and storage solutions? Please take the poll! By sensible, I mostly mean permanent kitchen solutions made from glass, stainless steel, wood, and bamboo. But also, in the case of paper products, that they be from recycled materials and any wax additions be from paraffin, not plastic, wax. I [...]

Making My List

School is finished for the year! That feels sooo good. We got halfway through Sonlight’s Core 5 (Eastern Hemisphere) over the year, which is what I expected, given our workload. We won’t need to buy another core in the fall. But anyway, we are rethinking our school priorities. With all we do now and are [...]
