Mother’s Day Pictures
How was your Mother’s Day? Ours was wonderful! Jeff’s parents surprised us with a visit; Jerry (Jeff’s dad) was in Oregon for business so they extended their trip to stay with us for a few days. Judy and I both had an agenda – pictures. She wanted updated pictures of us for Jerry’s new office. And I wanted pictures… just because. I realize that there’s alot to catch up on Such Treasures. But because I can’t possibly catch up, I am just going to jump in, and try to fill in the blanks as I go.
Step Into My Office, Please
I did some rearranging yesterday of my “office” – to create a nicer background for videoing myself in gnowfglins.com teaching videos. Also, how was your Christmas? Ours was restful and quiet – we had a sickie in the house.
Merry Christmas! (Again)
I wanted to send out a card with a little more flair than the one I posted two days ago!
Merry Christmas!
From our family to yours ~ we pray your Christmas is blessed beyond measure with God’s love!
Some Pictures from Montana
Just playing around with pictures today. Haniya has informed me that she wants a turn on the Mac today, so she can play, too… These pictures are from when the kids were in Montana with my parents, after Jeff and I had already returned home. This was the day they were at the top of Logan Pass (Going-to-the-Sun Road) and there was a snowstorm!
Mikah’s Helicopter Erector
We gave Mikah a motorized Erector set for his 9th birthday. We’ve been so busy with the barn and school (and dishes, to his dismay) that he’s not had much time to devote to it. Until this weekend. He built that helicopter almost entirely by himself. I think it is remarkable because it is no easy feat to decipher the directions and work with the tiny screws and nuts. He thinks it is pretty cool that the picture shows the propellers spinning. We think Mikah is cool.
Goat Hay Rack
I presented Jeff with two hay rack plans: one off the internet and one from the book, Natural Goat Care. But they were just ideas to get Jeff’s creative juices flowing. We figured we needed a hay rack, because otherwise the goats would eat their (expensive) alfalfa hay in a big bin in the center of the barn. Most of it would end up on the floor. After Jeff thought awhile, he decided to part ways from the plans and do it his own way.
Pole Barn Continues…
Last weekend, even though it was rainy and muddy, we got much done. On Friday, our siding arrived. It is not a perfect color match.
We weren’t too concerned about matching the color. This is what was available to us, so it is what we got. Actually, I kind of like the color block look. What concerns us is that should we sell our property someday, we hope people won’t be turned away by the colors. On Saturday…
Week’s Chat
I will try to cover everything that has happened this week. Jeff has been out of town since Wednesday, but he’ll be back tonight. I researched steel through the early week, and then ordered the steel siding for the barn on Wednesday. The Lord was good and allowed it to be delivered today, in time [...]
