HomeKeeper’s Journal

Each Tuesday, The HomeKeeper’s Journal is led by Sylvia at CHK. You’re welcome to join The HomeKeeper’s Journal, too. To see Sylvia’s entry for this week and/or find instructions for participating, visit Sylvia’s entry for this week.

The theme this week is difficulties. Actually very timely for me. Even though my life is good and blessed, I am not immune to daily personal difficulties. Enough said.

Sometimes I feel a bit of resentment when I … am misunderstood or not listened to.

Why is it so difficult for me to … let people be who they are, and still go on my merry way?

1 Chronicles 16:11 tells me to … “Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.”

1 Peter 5:8 warns me … to “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”

I am going to pray and ask for strength to … love unconditionally, be calm, and rejoice always.

The difficult thing that seems to constantly catch me off guard is … rudeness. How can people be so blind to their unloving ways?

James 1:12 says … “Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. ”

I am determined to … endure temptation, seek the Lord’s face and strength, and not let those difficulties get to me! Lord willing!

  1. Hi! I am not sure how I ran across your blog but I have really enjoyed reading about your goats and soap making (my husband has been thinking about getting some goats and I have been thinking about learning how to make soap!). Anyway, I decided to start The Homekeeper’s Journal on my blog (which is very new and has NO traffic yet but it’s alot of fun developing). I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future!

  2. Hi! I came over to read your Journal entry and was amazed how your answers are similar to my thoughts and feelings! Thanks for this post!

Thank you for this post! Difficulties indeed … sometimes I just plain feel overwhelmed. But prayer and just getting out there to do the work, usually helps. God bless!
