This weekend, Jeff has really made progress on our barn project. We are adding sides to the roof-only pole barn. This involved cleaning out under it and taking down a shed — all for the purpose of being able to grade the extremely sloped ground under the existing structure. Well, he’s to this grading step, praise the Lord! He is also creating a tractor through-way at the back. A stump was in the way, which he took out this morning and I captured on video. I edited the 12 minutes of video to around 2 minutes – and I did it so the kids would be able to see some of what they’ve missed when they’ve been away. I’ll share it here because I think my mom will want to see it. And you might, too?

I don’t know if it’s because I’m on dial-up or if it’s this old computer, but I can’t watch the video.
It says it’s loading but doesn’t finish. I hope I get see some pictures later.

Marg, I didn’t have any trouble loading it, but then I don’t have dial-up anymore. I guess it could be that, or maybe facebook was really busy when you tried to watch it. Give it another try – I’ll take some pictures soon. The video is entirely just Jeff moving a stump, which really is not that exciting except it will be to the kids.
Mom, we can’t see it.
It says it’s loading but it never does.

That is what happens to me too. It does that with all your videos so it must be my computer.

Marg – Hmm… Well, it might have have to do with FB privacy, not your computer. I just uploaded it to vimeo.com to see if you can view it through there. I won’t be able to add it for 45 minutes though, it is still processing. If you aren’t able to watch it with vimeo, then we’ll know it is your computer or your ISP. But since Haniya couldn’t watch it either, I think it is probably FB. I have the videos set so everyone can watch, but maybe that means “everyone on FB” not really “everyone”
I’ll let you know when it is up via vimeo!
It’s probably my browser.

Marg – Here it is again, this time hosted on vimeo. I changed the post so try to watch it again. (And I also changed the turkey hen video.) I don’t think it is your computer or your browser. I went back to facebook and read up on the video hosting and only those on facebook can see it. So I won’t do them that way again. Thanks for letting me know – otherwise I would have assumed it was working!
That’s true, I’m not on facebook. Vimeo doesn’t work for me either. I waited at least 30 min. and nothing happens. It doesn’t even show it loading. Do I need to join Vimeo maybe? I’m sure it’s my browser.
Marg – Thanks for trying again! I guess it must be your browser – do you have the flash plugin enabled? What browser do you use? You wouldn’t have been able to see the FB videos no matter what, I see that now. But since you can’t see vimeo, it must be your browser. A half hour is a long time to wait… Let me know about your browser and I’ll try to help you get the flash plugin enabled.
I got this brilliant idea
late but no less brilliant, lol. I checked the video on hubby’s computer and I could watch it! Yay! It still took about 25-30 min. to load because we’re on dial-up but I went and did other things while I waited.
That is some big tree stump. My hubby would sure like to have that piece of equipment Jeff has! Boys and their toys.
That was brilliant! Glad you got to see it. Yes, men and their toys.
