Haniya graduated from head gear to braces yesterday. I am so proud of her cheerful attitude, even though her mouth is quite sore! She only has to wear the head gear at night now. She had been wearing it at least 22 hours a day. She was very conscientious and never missed any “opportunity” to wear the gear. So it is nice that she gets a break from that. The doctor expects her to wear braces for 30 to 33 months. We hope it will be less.
- The "before" shot
- Reading through the do-s and the don't-s
- The bottom braces being glued on
- Bottom braces are on
- Top braces on - checking out her new look in the mirror
- Washing all those icky tastes out!
- Wires and bands (she picked light blue) are a go
- With Jen (the Dr.'s assistant), one of the nicest people we've ever met
- A stop at the river is always in order, but this time it was a reward for job well done!

Yay! Braces are on — in no time my teeth will be straight.
