A bit of new technology we purchased was a digital drawing tablet. I wanted it for photo editing and simple graphics, but I knew, just knew, that the kids would love to do digital drawings with far more precision that the mouse provides. Here is Haniya’s first drawing, using the drawing pad and GIMP. She made another last night that is just incredible. I will have to wait on her to get that one ready for me to show off.
The kids have also been using the drawing tablet with Inkscape. Yes, I have been playing, too.
Very nice. Gimp is a great tool and I love my tablet, though I don’t have nearly as many drawing skills [smile].
