Mikah Made Fire

Mikah started a little fire last weekend, but as usual, we were unable to keep the fire going. Just about everything is too wet — typical Oregon. You’ll hear Mikah say, “It catched the old man’s beard up!” This is because he was utterly shocked that it caught fire, instead of the cotton ball. I don’t think we’ve managed to get old man’s beard on fire before. Well, maybe once before.

You may also notice that we, none of us, were speaking too kindly. I think it was the surprise of actually starting a fire and the anxiety we all felt about keeping it going (which ultimately failed).
