Please don’t be offended by my lack of enthusiasm for the SuperBowl. I mean no offense. As a family, we enjoy a good sports story now and then as part of a good movie. But we don’t usually turn on the TV (hey, we don’t get good reception anyway) to watch any games.
This little scene took place on Saturday night.
Dad: “Oh, hey, do you know what’s on tomorrow?”
Mom: “Ummm…. oh, the SuperBowl?”
Mikah: “What’s SuperBowl?”
Mom: “Exactly.”
Mikah: “What’s SuperBowl?”
Mom: “It is when really super people go bowling.”
Mikah: “Oh, I knew it was something with bowling.”
Oh, really???????
(And on a side note, look at his curls!? I’m not trying to turn my boy into a girl, okay. God is the one who gave him that hair.)

Hi there,
I have read before that you don’t do alot of t.v. but was wondering if you will be going totally free once you have to have the controller box or whatever that new t.v. device is.
I also am not into the super bowl or football which is funny because I grew up in a family which my mom was crazy about football and so is my husband and a couple of his brothers. Cowboys is the team in this family and I actually have had my picture taken with their superbowl trophy when I was 10 which is very impressive to many people. Yet I still don’t do football. My daughter is a cheerleader and I went to the football games to watch her, basketball to me is much more fun. I think it is because it is a faster sport. HAHA
Have a great day!
We ordered a movie last night to watch togehter and I made hamburger nachos. It was really nice.
Dana, I’m not sure what we’ll do. We have a converter box (bought it with the government coupon) but we don’t have an antenna so it currently doesn’t pick up any signals. I might shop for an antenna this week and give that a try. We like to watch things now and then so it would be nice to have the option. Thankfully, I don’t have to give up my Jane Austen era DVDs with the change!
Beth, your evening sounds wonderful! Especially the nachos.
Love, Wardeh
Yea for the Jane Austen era DVDs!
Hugs, Robin
Is that what you watched on SuperBowl Sunday? Good for you!
Love, Wardeh
I believe we did! How funny that you all did, too.
Oh, Robin, I am dense…. I thought you mentioned JA DVDs because you watched them. I had forgotten that I was the one who brought it up in a comment I made up there…
No, we didn’t watch any Jane Austen DVDs. I think we watched Bear Grylls in “Man v. Wild” on SuperBowl evening!
What did you watch?
Love, Wardeh
We watched the five hour P&P all afternoon, into early evening.
Hugs, Robin
P.S. I am very glad to have found your blog with my new computer.
The name, which is perfect, is easy to remember. Partially because I treasure your friendship and because I remember that your sweeties are your Treasures.
Hugs, Robin
