(in other words, Wardeh’s Pet Peeves)
How white clothes are supposed to stay white.
How the white in clothes combining white with a darker, bleedy color are supposed to stay white.
How anyone ever thought that carpeting a dining room would be beneficial to the general cleanliness of a house.
How anyone can not prefer sweets.
How two of my children leave messes behind for practically everything they do.
How practically every simple task takes much longer than I thought.
How I adore the annoying yet charming Mr. Guppy (of Bleak House).
How I cannot stop yawning when reading aloud.
How, while actively decluttering, I am still surrounded by too much stuff.
How I love my Savior and long to please Him, but I willingly sin against Him.

Oh, Wardeh, those last three especially I too can’t make sense of, practically every day! You are not alone, let me tell you!
That is encouraging to hear, Melissa. Thanks.
Love, Wardeh P.S. So you’re a yawner too?
I, too, have carpeting in the dining room! Very old carpeting! We leave it because it’s protecting unfinished hardwood floors. A future project! I need to watch Bleak House! That’s an easier project to accomplish.
Mary, you have a good reason for having that carpet then! If only there were hardwood floors underneath mine. Not likely as we live in a manufactured home.
You will love Bleak House. Maybe your library has it?
Love, Wardeh
I would add to number one- …and why the kids tend to wear their new white clothes on spaghetti night!
I can relate to every one of those, except for “How I adore the annoying yet charming Mr. Guppy (of Bleak House).” as I’ve never seen the show.
Another in the white clothes catagory would be that I wear something white while making/eating tomato based meals like spaghetti or lasagna. I just don’t get it.
Elaine, you need to watch Bleak House!
hmmm..
I can identify with
carpeting in the dining room, no sense!
spilling cranberry juice on white clothes
I am actively decluttering and the house is still a mess!
Wardeh,
We don’t have T.V. and I am getting bored of the DVDs we have. We may have similar taste, because I LOVE Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Emma. So when I saw you mention Bleak House it sparked my interest. Is it appropriate for kids also? I saw 2 different versions, 1 from 2005 and 1 from 1985, both from BBC. Which do you enjoy? Any other suggestions to free me from my bordom?
Much appreciated,
Kelli
Wardeh,
Hi again! I need to do searches on your blog BEFORE asking questions! I see that you are refering to the 2005 version. But in the description…”spontanious combustion”…I am not going to be freaked out watching this, am I?
Kelli
Hi, Kelli! Yes, we’re enjoying the 2005 version. It is really, really good. We feel that it is appropriate for our children. There is a scandal involving Lady Dedlock, nothing is shown but it is clear that there is a mystery and the issue is not a children’s issue. I won’t tell you more unless you okay me giving away the major plot. The spontaneous combustion is quite funny… having to do with a man who dies in a strange sort of natural accident. Nothing graphic, though he’s a drunk. I think you’d like it! Would you like to borrow ours? We’ll be in town tomorrow and could meet you at the church. Then I could get it from you next week on Wednesday again. I could loan you another movie then. I have many of the Jane Austen era. I know I could trust you with these special possessions!
Let me know! Love, Wardeh
I am longing to listen to Bleak House!! I got it on audio, but have to wait for my husband to put it on this older new-to-us computer that I am using since mine stopped working. I will have to remember to look for the movie, too.
I yawn when I read aloud, too!
Have a great weekend, Hugs, Robin
