Girls’ Tank Tops, Boys’ Boxers

I’m at least done for the day… the kids are set to go on their trip. Last night I got those raglan sleeve tee-shirts for Mikah all done. Today I made each girl three tanks tops, six total. The tank tops came from thrift store men’s tee-shirts, constructed the same way I made my own last summer. They put their favorite tanks on for this picture. I love my girls; they are so sweet!

Girls in Tank Tops from Recycled Men's Tee-Shirts

Total cost on each tank top: $1.99. This is the cost of each men’s shirt.

Mikah’s boxers (4 pairs) came out of a permanent press cotton sheet. I’ve learned that woven cotton sheets that aren’t permanent press get all wrinkly in the wash and are uncomfortable for him to wear. Unless I would iron them… no, I don’t think so. ;)

Boxers for Mikah from a Thrift Store Sheet

Total cost on the boxers: 60 cents total, 15 cents each. The sheet cost $1.99 and I used about one-third of it. Yard sale prices, maybe even better!
