Busy Home Today

My Thursdays are always great days because we are home after a day out.

I only went to one thrift store yesterday due to time. What do you think I got but two sheets. They are both smooth woven cottons — one a pretty soft shade of pink and another a spring green. They will make great summer nightgowns. Then Mikah found a tool belt. It is way too big for him but he loves it. I couldn’t resist.

Today will be busy. I will sew boxers and t-shirts for Mikah and hopefully tank tops for the girls. All three kids need haircuts. Mikah’s hair is staying long but needs to be evened up in the back. Naomi wants several inches off to lighten up for the summer. Haniya hasn’t decided if she wants just a trim or a few inches off.

I wish one of them could give me a haircut. I’m (almost) ready to cut off about 5 inches, too. I haven’t had a haircut since last summer. That’s about normal for me, to have one cut per year. On days that I wash my hair, I like its length. On the other days, I feel pretty matronly and think I could use an update. I don’t know where to go to get it cut. A friend is tracking down a recommendation of a hairdresser close by.

    Hello Dear Wardeh. :)

You have beautiful hair! We’ve been going through some hair changes here. Beka, after having her hair cut shoulder length last September, has decided that she’d like hers to be middle of the back length. Emma has continued to like hers shoulder length. After my first shoulder length cut in many years last Sept, I have realized that I still like mine long. So, I will have it trimmed once a year (by Emma) like I always had before and let it grow to middle of back or longer. I have always really liked the way my hair looks braided in one long braid in the back. And that is how I’ll wear it most of the time, as it grows longer. I’ve noticed that all of this healthy eating for the past few months has made it healthier, which is really nice.

Have a wonderful day home, hugs, Robin

I just realized that you are posting about hair and we just had a lengthy discussion about our hair yesterday. :D

I can’t decide what to do about my hair, either. When its long I do look rather matronly. But then again, I’m about matron age, aren’t I? LOL!

I sure love reading about what you’re making. Summer nighties sound like a good thing right about now.

    Love
    Sylvia
