Where I’ve Been

That title is misleading because I’ve been here. Well, except for Saturday when we spent the day at friends’. It was a great day. Sunday I felt really out of it, and I think because of the antihistamines I’ve been taking. They really knock me out.

My friend told me that three years ago, she fasted with only fruit and vegetable juices and her environmental allergies totally went away. She loaned me the book detailing the fast she followed — Toxic Relief by Don Colbert, MD. I read it on Sunday and started fasting with only juices on Sunday evening. I didn’t figure I had to do the two-week prep liver support diet because my eating habits appear to be liver supporting, according to his standards. The idea with the fast is to cleanse the body, including the liver, of toxins. These toxins can overload a body so that it can’t deal with disease or the environment properly.

Since I’ve been fasting, I’ve been taking it easy. I’m alternating between deep hunger and being completely full from a smoothie. But the juices have been delicious. Tomorrow I’ll add some grains back into my diet.

Yesterday I spent free from allergy symptoms and even the night. But today I am back to having allergy symptoms. They don’t seem so severe. But it is hard to tell.

I’ve enjoyed my low key days, though. I’ve been working on the order of fifteen tote bags. Three are done and the other 12 are half-way done. This morning, when I had all the pockets and straps to press before sewing, I set up the ironing board at the couch, in front of the TV, and I watched North and South. It was lovely. I love that movie.

(((Wardeh))) I am praying that you will have relief from your allergies very quickly.

    Your tote bags are awesome!

If you ever come across some orange corduroy I may see if you’ll make me another shopping bag so I can buy it from you. :D Or maybe I could just find the fabric myself and I’d pay you to sew it?

Hugs & prayers for a allergy-free day for you and Mikah.

P.S. Your header is awesome! I love the flower. What kind is it? :)

Robin, I’d love to make you a tote bag! I’ll keep my eye out for orange corduroy and you do, too.

The flower in the header is a dogwood flower from one of our dogwood trees. Mikah picked it. He thought the flowers looked plastic because they’re so thick and shiny.

    Love, Wardeh
