Is there anything as lovely as cool and crisp sheets on a summer night? I love them! I actually iron our sheets for that very reason. Am I silly? Yes. I know. Crazy, huh!

Blessings!

I choose either red or blue depending on what I need the finished product to match. I haven't tried green or yellow, but I think they would work. I don't think it matters much what color the sheets are to begin with. If you dye them blue, all the colors snd up some shade of blue, red dye makes all the colors some shade of red. Watch the fabric while it is in the dye so it won't get too dark. Calicoes are especially pretty when over-dyed.

I love old sheets, too. I like the idea of the over-dye. How do you know whether to choose red or blue?

I hope you find good sheets for your curtains -- and I'm eager to see your finished shades.

I love old sheets. They are so soft and the colors are mellow. I also like to over-dye old sheets to make them even more mellow looking. Even bright prints can be made to look vintage and soft with a quick bath in some red or blue dye.
I am on the lookout for some sheets to make curtains with for the dining room. I have studied the roman shade pattern you sent me and I am about ready to make them for the living room, also out of old sheets. :D
