Our morning visitors… a mating pair of peacocks! Jeff heard them on Sunday evening, nearby to where he was in the woods. Then last night, he found out the sounds were from peacocks; they came within 5 feet of him while he was tying up loose ends on the fencing. He has that effect on animals; they know he’s not a threat to them. Then this morning, the peacocks allowed me a glimpse of thir beauty when they walked on the uncultivated dirt pad around the house. Haniya saw them first and ran to find me. I’m so glad she did! What if I’d missed the beautiful display? Well, I know they’re still beautiful whether or not I get to see them. 
If only we could see the male display his plumage. I wonder how long they’ll be around?

When I went outside to take more pictures, the peacocks left. Smart birds!
