Because his hair is clipped shorter, the 100% merino wool beanie/skull cap — from when I first started practicing them — fits Jeff perfectly. Except it leaves his neck desiring warmth.
So we created a neck warmer. It is really like a removable turtleneck! And it does the trick. The neck warmer is a serged tube of 100% merino wool, with finished dimensions of 15-inches by 3.5-inches. Very simple and very warm.

Looking good there, Jeff. I like the shorter trimmed beard and the short/no hair look. Dare I say that you are looking somewhat sophisticated??
In our day the little turtleneck was called a dickie. I wore them all the time under sweaters. In fact, if I had them still, I would still wear them. A shirt under a sweater is too warm for me. Great creativity, Wardeh.
Love you much — Judy
Hi, Judy! I will tell Jeff what you said about him looking sophisticated. I think he looks great.
I had thought this might be called a dickie — but since it doesn’t hang down on the chest, I didn’t think it was a pure one. Just our variation. Anyway, I wasn’t sure about the name. Hmm…. I am thinking maybe you will get one of these someday! I’ll have to pick out a different dye color for the wool, as chocolate brown and dark black are not quite your colors!
Love, Wardeh
this look is very “the matrix”y.
