Thrift Store Report
As of yesterday, I hadn’t been to a thrift store for about three weeks. Yesterday, we had time to hit 2 of them and one was the priciest in our area — Goodwill.
I found 3 sheets, 2 knit (pale blue and deep purple) and 1 woven (a King-size in a rich purple-brown with a very high thread count). The first two were $1.99 and $2.99 and the King size was a pricier $4.99, but I couldn’t pass it up because of the quality and the color.
I found Jeff a pair of Carharrt dungarees for $5.99. That’s a good price because usually those are $9.99 used. These had a little snag, which must have brought the price down, but doesn’t bother us. They are super long, so I’ll hem them today. That will make them better suited for Jeff because he prefers a wider leg opening than the standard 19″.
Also, I found a hardcover copy of Lee Stroebel’s “Case for a Creator.” That was $2.99 and kind of more than I usually pay for a book, but I’ve been wanting it, so I bought it.
And finally, a log cabin wall quilt pattern for 49 cents. Who knows if we’ll ever make it. I have the girls in mind for it, but it could also be a gift because it is brand new, never opened.

Hey! Long time no see! You have really expanded your website! Anyway, Dave Sutton had a quadruple bipass surgery a few months ago and last week was back in the hospital for a stent. Vickie’s friend Deborah and her family from Texas lived with them for a year before finding their own apartment. I, too, hit the thrift store today–all I found was a Valentine mug. I can never find anything at the Fresno GoodWill, probably because it’s too big. Give your family a hug for me! Love, Marian
Hi, Marian! Yes, its been a long time! You’ve been in my thoughts, though. Mikah is reading a book to me each day with a character whose name is Lady Marian. You’re the only Marian I know in real life, so I think of you! Thanks for visiting. Love, Wardeh
