Sledding
We have received at least a foot of snow, and more is promised. This is our 3rd winter here and the first time that Jeff was home during a major snow. He helped the kids make a sled run down our hill yesterday and they had a blast. Today the kids are able to sled, too, as more snow is falling and none is melting. This isn’t usual for the Pacific Northwest, at least at our elevation and location. The last time we had a snow like this, it was two winters ago. It does seem like this year we’ve gotten more snow, but this is the first big snow of the year that is really sticking around.

Mikah spinning down the hill on his saucer…

End of the run for Mikah… Whew! He needs a break!

Naomi’s shining eyes just watched Mikah go down…

Haniya and Naomi are listening intently to their dad’s strategy for how to get the most out of the run…

Naomi and Mikah… engaging in a “sledding consultation”… Do you think holding the sleds like that improves their thinking?

Jeff and Haniya just watched Naomi whizz by; now they’re watching her curve out of sight…

Jeff heads up the hill to give it a go himself… Haniya is whishing down already…

Wardeh,
That looks like so much fun - as a resident of eastern NC, we rarely see snow. Glad your family had a blast!!
Peace
What a great time to be had and what darling pictures (thank you), and now (today is Monday) you all must be back out there with all the new snow that is dumping! Wish I was there!
It’s been snowing (blizzarding) here and with a recent reprieve your dad is out using the snowblower. We need to clear the driveway so as to get to the train station in the AM to pick up Nan! So wonderful to talk with you all this AM and so WONDERFUL to be off work and home for 2 weeks! I love you all! Mom
Wouldn’t it be great if we could enjoy the snow activities together? Someday… I hope. I’m really happy for you to have this break and be restful at home. Tell Jenan hi from all of us and Baba, too. Love to all. Love, Wardeh
