Thrift Store Report

p1010822blog.jpg1.) Flat double sheet in a pretty floral cotton knit.
Will make great pajamas for the girls.
–> $2.50

2.) 4-1/2 yards of brown, 4-way stretch knit, a cotton/lycra blend.
Exactly what I use for undergarments. I think I usually buy it at JoAnn’s with a coupon for about $8 per yard. This cut is a great find!
–> $1.75

3.) 2 yards pink cotton.
For quilting and miscellaneous projects for the girls — more doll dresses?
–> $1.20

4.) Navy blue linen blend, in 2 pieces: 1-7/8 yards & 2-3/4 yards.
These are 62″ wide. I love linen for pants, dresses, and skirts. Perhaps napkins? These pieces will be very useful.
–> $2.70 for both

Total: $8.15

  1. Way to go, I too have had success lately. I was so happy that I also did a post! Great luck with the linen, I love napkins edged with contrasting fabric, and linen works so well for napkins doesn’t it?

Hi, Kathleen! Linen makes beautiful napkins. I hadn’t though to do a contrasting fabric, but what a good idea! I always get the best ideas from kind people who stop by here and share. Thanks! Love, Wardeh
