Custom Flax Seed Packs
I’ve been working on a couple special orders of flax seed packs.

These are meant to fold over and encase the hands. The pianist who ordered them wished for two sets, so she could alternate between hot and cold treatments. I would have liked to join the ends to make them a circle, but I couldn’t fit them under the sewing machine foot when the channels were full of flax seeds.

For a massage therapist friend, I made a really big flax seed pack to cover the entire back. She is going to use it on her clients. I’ve already given it to her and never thought to take a finished picture. The picture above shows the pack before I filled the channels and serged it closed. The left edge is meant to go along the top of the shoulders. That is longer than the pictured right edge, which is meant to go along the small of the back down into the hip/buttocks area. She was going to test it on a first client today; I hope it worked well.

To join the packs in a circle, sew velcro on each end and you can make the circle whenever you like or you can leave it flat!
Well, thanks Miss C! You’re sew smart! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. I will see if I can make it work to sew them on by hand. Love, Wardeh
