Christmas Sewing Done!
I have been sewing all morning. All of my Christmas sewing is done. That feels good. Less than 24 hours ago, I wondered if it would get done.
The first part of this morning, I took all the fabric for Christmas pjs into my bedroom and closed the door. Then I cut everything out. I cut out fabric for each of the kids to have pj pants and a t-shirt, for me to have pj pants, and for Jeff to have a new nightshirt. All the pj pants are from red knit I got during the Denver Fabrics changing ownership sale. The kids’ t-shirts and Jeff’s nightshirt are from a grey knit sheet I bought on Wednesday for $2.99.
But I couldn’t sew them in my bedroom, so in the mid-morning I put a sheet up to obscure my sewing area (also the family room) and told the kids to not look while I sewed in there. Naomi told me that if I was going to be in there all by myself all day, that she’d rather I didn’t make her anything. What a sweetie; she’d rather we be together. It is funny that she, and the others, too, all felt so lonely when there was only a sheet separating us. ![]()
I finished sewing all those. At some point, I decided to put red binding at the necklines on the grey t-shirts to coordinate them with the red pj pants. They are all really cute! On Christmas Eve, I’ll get a pic of the kids in their jammies.
Now I need a nap. That is because I stayed up last night sewing dress-up capes for the kids. I may take a short nap, but pretty soon it will be time to get dinner going and pick up the house. The house is not too bad since we cleaned yesterday and we will do more cleaning tomorrow in preparation for Jeff’s mom, dad and sister visiting for Christmas.
How are your Christmas preparations coming?

Good morning!
I can’t wait to see the jammies! They sound incredibly cute!
I relate 100% to prefering to be together and I find that often this perplexes others who would rather be apart from their children. We have them for such a short time here at home!
I hope your weekend is going very well and that you and your family will be blessed with good health. Hugs, Robin
Oh, yes, I think it is terribly endearing that our children claim they will live with us forever. When I tell them that someday they may not want to, they almost cry it makes them so sad. It makes me very sad, too. Have a wonderful weekend Robin! Love, Wardeh
