Every year I have trouble deciding what gifts to give the men in our life. There are 5 — our 2 dads, our 2 brothers, and 1 brother-in-law. Usually what I do for them is purchase a book or DVD.
Instead of making those purchases, I plan to give homemade gifts of personal care products to them. Nothing froo-froo; they’ve got to be useful. Some recipes are coming from Sylvia’s blog. She shared recipes for Shaving Cream, Pomace Hand Scrub, and After Shave. They all sound wonderful. I plan to make all three and give each man some of each.
In addition, I have been looking at the The Soap Dish where the sweet owner, Rebekah, has some wonderful recipes. I think a shampoo bar would be nice to give the men, too.

I like the idea that you can make your own shaving cream. I find myself shaving almost everyday when i wake up. I must learn the recipe or tell my girlfriend to learn it as a present this holiday season. I love the idea!!!!!!
