My beautiful girls

I am pleased with the dresses. I wish the necklines were higher and more old-fashioned. I did end up taking in Naomi’s bodice and sleeves. I believe it was worth the time because of the fit difference. From the way I drafted the patterns, I ended up taking in each dress by 2 inches total in the bodice and 1 inch in each sleeve.

  1. Beautiful dresses for beautiful girls! I’m glad all your hard work paid off so well, Wardeh.

  2. Beautiful dresses for your girls!
Okay I think I have come up with a recipe that will fit your family, I hope. I’m not sure why this has become so important for me. I guess it is my way of thanking you for allowing me into your life, you have really been an inspiration for me, thank you.

    Kettle Corn
    8 cups popped corn
1/4 cup butter or coconut oil
    1/3 cup raw honey
    Dash of sea salt

Bring the butter and honey to a boil, until you reach 240°F (you don’t have to cook it this long, it does make the texture better if you do) Immediately remove from heat and stir into popped corn. Add a dash of salt or two. (the salt brings out a better flavor) I don’t look at the temperature anymore I just wait for the butter and honey to turn a light brown color.

Thank you Tiffany! It looks delicious! As Mikah is such a popcorn nut, we will try it this weekend. You’re so sweet to think of us. Love, Wardeh

  3. They turned out lovely. You did a wonderful job!!

    Thanks, Michelle! Love, Wardeh

  4. Hi Wardeh,

It’s been a while since I’ve stoppped by. The dresses are lovely, and so are the girls modeling them. Have a great weekend.

    Carol

Hi, Carol! It is good to see you! You have a good weekend, too! Love, Wardeh

  5. Oh, such beautiful girls — you did an awesome job, Wardeh! I want a nice picture of the three of you in your dresses! Now, what is Mikah and Jeff going to wear? They must dress up if they are going to escort you to the party! I am blessed!

Oh, they’ll be cowboys. Very handsome! We’ll get a family picture, I promise. :D
By the way, the girls did quite a bit of sewing on their own dresses. They would have done much more if the alterations weren’t involved. I am really proud of them! Love, Wardeh

  6. OH how DELIGHTFUL! Such beautiful little women~I’m sure they are as beautiful in heart as well. ~smile~ (((((HUGS))))) sandi

Hello, Sandi! Thank you for your enthusiasm. You’re very sweet. Love, Wardeh

  7. The dresses and the lovely young ladies inside them are priceless and wonderful!! You three did an amazing job on them, and the best part is what you are teaching Haniya and Naomi—to be resourceful and proud of their accomplishments!

Thanks! They were so lovely yesterday at the Banquet. I’m proud of them for what they put into the dresses. Hey, we’re getting pretty excited to see you. Mikah put the date on the calendar last night (he asked to do it) and this morning, they started the countdown… less than 2 weeks! Love, Wardeh

  8. Wardeh,
I love the dresses!!!! They turned out just wonderful!
How is the progress on yours???
The carrot cake that you made looked yummy too! I admit I like the “badforyouwithcreamcheeseicing” carrot cake. But I would try your recipe. :) Hope you have a lovely week.
    Michelle

Hello, Michelle! I have missed seeing you. Thank you for the compliment on the dresses. Yesterday at church, the girls were just lovely. I had finished mine before theirs and you can see a picture here. I admit that I like the cream cheese frosting, too. ;) Sorry I just can’t duplicate that. Love, Wardeh
