Dining Room Chairs: Before and After
Today was the day to redo the dining room chairs. I did it over the course of the whole morning, in between helping the kids with their schoolwork. They thought it was fun to have the yucky chairs on which they were sitting replaced by new ones.

This is one of the worst chairs. See the stains?

When I took off the cloth, there was no missing the damage
we’d done to the original color.

And here is the chair, redone in a suede-like washable vinyl.
What should I call this color of brown? I bought it at JoAnn’s a few weeks
ago using a gift card that a friend gave me. I like it so much!

They look wonderful..they look like the color of sand on the beach..you are very creative..warm hugs from Vermont
They do look wonderful. I would call that color, putty. LOL
wow! How do you do that? Looks really complicated to me
Oh, no, it isn’t! I unscrewed the pads from the chair. There were 4 screws under the pad that came out easily. Then using pliers and a regular screwdriver, I pried out all the old staples to remove the old cloth and plastic. Then I used a borrowed staple gun to wrap the new cloth around the pad. I had to stretch it as much as I could without warping it to make sure it was good and taut. All very easy! Although each chair took me about 20 to 30 minutes. Love, Wardeh
At first I didn’t see what the problem was as the chairs looked fine. Then I noticed the 2nd pic w/the fabric off the chair
yep they were bad.
I like what you did w/the new chair covers. My chairs are the office/restaurant metal ones w/vinyl bottom and back. I’m buying seat cushions to put over them to help make them more comfortable to sit on, and raise the short people in the family up a bit higher.
Very nice.
I’d call the color taupe.
You could call it mushroom or fawn. =)
That’s fascinating! I am going to try that someday!
The color looks like mocha cream.
Can you tell I’m having my coffee? Great job!
