Pregnancy Care Center Quilt

Back in the spring, our church’s ladies and young ladies constructed blocks out of fabric I handed out to them. I am finally putting the quilt together… and really in the nick of time because the auction fundraiser of which it will be a part is October 4th! This project totally got buried in my busy-summer-that-didn’t-seem-like-a-summer-at-all.

The blocks are all lovely. I am marveling at the skill and love that went into them.

Yesterday and today, I have pieced together the top. Now I have the layers ready for pinning and then stitching in the ditch. Tomorrow I am going to pass the quilt on to another family who will add the binding. On Sunday, we will show the quilt to the congregation and then next week, I’ll deliver it to the Pregnancy Care Center in our area. Then it is up to them to auction it off and raise money for their important ministry.

  1. That is a beautiful quilt and I’m sure that it will bring quite a nice price at the auction.

    Thank you, Elaine. :) Love, Wardeh

  2. What a lovely quilt. Do you hand quilt or machine quilt? I adore hand quilting, it’s just so relaxing to me. Bless you for the hard work you do for others. *hugs*

    I applaud you! I do not have the patience for hand quilting! I machine quilt, but not complex things, just wavy stitchy or stitching in the ditch. Love, Wardeh P.S. {{Hugs}}

  3. Absolutely beautiful! You all did a wonderful job.

  4. That is so pretty. :)
