Notes About Recipes

Most of the recipes posted at Such Treasures are original recipes, created by Wardeh Harmon (the author of this blog). Some recipes are from outside sources and are included because they’re just too good not to share! In such cases, I have included the author’s name (if available), an original title, an original publication, and/or an internet link. Feel free to link to the Such Treasures Recipes or any of the individual recipes. I thank you for recognizing that the recipes shared here are protected by copyright; if you share a recipe, I ask that you name its creator and link to this site.

I strive to cook with the freshest, most natural ingredients possible. In most cases, this means the raw ingredients I choose are organic, local, natural and/or raw. In the case of meat, we prefer consuming naturally-raised meats, such as grass-fed beef, grass-fed lamb, free-range chickens (which consumed organic feed), wild salmon, etc.

However, in my recipes, I don’t make a note of these terms, for two reasons. First, it would be tedious for me to add the word “organic” in front of each ingredient. Second, I believe it would be tedious for readers to have to read through the ingredient lists if most items were prefaced by the term “organic”. In some cases, though, I do state a preference, as I usually do when I call for “grass-fed” beef.

When preparing the recipes, I encourage you to include the freshest, most natural ingredients you have available. I also encourage you to do research of your own, so that you are satisfied with the health value of the raw ingredients you use in your kitchen. If you ever have questions, please feel free to write to me at wardeh@suchtreasures.com.
