Saturday at Our Friend’s Wedding

The wedding was wonderful! The kids and I arrived early because we were there to help with preparations. Jeff came later for the ceremony and then he had to get back home. So he’s not in any of the pictures. Most of these I didn’t take. I’m getting lenient with the camera, letting the kids run off and snap pictures. Among the pictures taken, quite a few are shots of spider webs, rhododendron bushes and passing motor vehicles. ;) I won’t bore you with those.

Mikah, my handsome boy. He’s got gorgeous hair. We’re letting it grow out. Probably most people are horrified, but they’re not saying it. I was horrified myself. ;) Thankfully, now it is getting past the awkward stage, where it is long enough to be trained off his face and soon will be able to tuck behind his ears.

I was talking to some people here. I think Naomi took this picture. I have an annoying habit of always having to have my arms crossed across my body. I wish I didn’t do this. I’m showing you this picture because it is a side view of the dress that Jeff’s mom gave me. (I wore the black tank under the dress. I thought it looked more dressy, as most of you suggested.)

Another shot of handsome Mikah. He was sitting at a table eating (see the punch mustache?). He filled his plate completely full, and he ate every bite. The potluck was the reason why he wanted to stay for the reception, instead of returning home with Jeff.

Naomi, sweet Naomi.

Haniya, sweet Haniya. She’s wearing the dress Gramma gave her for her birthday. She received many compliments on it, and no wonder, for the dress is very becoming on her.

Wardeh, what a lovely bunch you are! I loved the pictures. Your hair is beautiful and so was your dress. Your children are just so sweet looking, I’d love to know all of you irl.

Sylvia, what a blessing you are! I’d love to know you in real life, too. That has long been a wish of mine. You’re precious to me.

I don’t often wear my hair down. It is usually in a pony tail or a more of it pulled half-back. Anyway, when I came out of my room with most of it down, the girls’ eyes got so big and Haniya told me I looked like Guinevere. What a sweet compliment! I’ll never forget that.

    Love, Wardeh

  2. Anne Galvin Bremer says:

As you know, I mostly lurk (no time to comment with work and school) but you look BEAUTIFUL! I agree with Sylvia, wish I knew you in real life.

Anne, you are a sweetheart, too! You know — we can always look each other up in Heaven! Love, Wardeh

  3. Gramma says:

Oh, my — You are a gorgeous family. I am sorry Jeff isn’t in the picture. Wardeh, you are stunning. Your love and kindness shine forth on your face. Haniya has grown up overnight. She is so lovely, so striking, so mature, and yet, so sugar and spice and everything nice — I am so blessed by this little girl! And Naomi, she sparkles — with goodness, kindness, and love. Our sweet Naomi — how I do love her. And my Big Boy Mikah — he is so very handsome and all boy. He is such a good boy, and Mikah, you don’t have to share that with anyone. You can’t be replaced in our lives. You are precious to us! God has blessed the Harmon family with such treasures. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you!

Judy, you are the sweetest mom-in-love! I will tell the children what you wrote about them. We thank God for you also! Love, Wardeh P.S. Thanks again for the dress!

  4. Robin says:

What beautiful pictures, Wardeh! You are beautiful, inside and out. And, your hair is simply gorgeous! That is where Mikah gets his gorgeous hair for sure! I wouldn’t want to cut it, either. Men/boys can look nice with longer hair if they take care of it and keep it nice and neat, I think.

    Hugs, Robin

Robin, thanks for your sweet words. I think you’re right about men’s/boy’s hair. The trouble is that Mikah is only almost 7 and the last thing on his mind is keeping up with his hair training! ;) Love, Wardeh
