My Monday

We are starting our summer schooling schedule today — one hour a day — math, reading and science (until we finish our unit on the human body). My intention is to have the children do it regularly each day from 8:30 to 9:30 or 9:00 to 10:00.

The kids will also have chores to do after schooling. When the chores are done, they are free. Today will have more chores than usual because we need to clean house after a busy, dirty weekend. I made a list on the dry erase board for them. Some things I assigned and some things they can discuss among themselves to decide who does what.

I have lots of sewing to do — for my friend who is getting married, pjs for the kids and a baby girl dress for a friend who is having a baby. They are all cut out and ready to sew.

Today we pick up our co-op order in the afternoon, so I won’t be able to walk with Jeff when he gets home. I would like to fit in a walk sometime this morning instead– that is, if I can function outside with my allergies. I have been taking my supplements. As long as I do it first thing in the morning before my body gets all worked up, I seem to manage. (Except if I go outside.) A new thing I’m doing, on the advice of my doctor, is taking large doses of Vitamin C three times a day. I will be getting local raw wildflower honey and raw organic apple cider vinegar tomorrow so I can begin taking those daily, too.

Tomorrow we are going to Trader Joe’s. We go every other month. I have to get my shopping list ready and do some research on finding a fabric store in the area that would have a good selection of knits. I’ll be making up a bunch of gluten-free flatbreads today to pack and take along tomorrow for our lunch.

Thank you to everyone who reads here and has encouraged me by your kind and thoughtful comments. :D You’ve all blessed me.

Hello, My Friend! Hope you had a good trip. One thing we use organic raw apple cider vinigar in is our salad dressing. I smash garlic with sea salt in the mortar and pestle and then add the vinegar and exra virgin olive oil. Everyone loves it, including friends who come to visit. It’s great to get it in our system and enjoy it!
By the way, still using up other soaps, but can’t wait to try yours–I have it unwrapped, hardening up a bit. Hope that’s okay.

Hi, Gina! I’m glad you’re letting it harden. That is definitely okay!

We do the same thing with raw apple cider vinegar and we love it, too! I normally have it on hand but had run out. It is sooo good on our slaws. I have been drinking 1 tablespoonful every morning. The honey makes is palatable ;)

    Love, Wardeh
