Those of you who we know in person may see this picture and fall off your chair because you’ve never seen Jeff sporting a beard. The beard was a one-hit-wonder that lasted for three months of this year — February through April. I dearly loved his beard. But, it is gone now.

The only remnant of the beard is the impression it made in this picture. I am extremely thankful to Jenn, Jeff’s sister who took the picture, because I have only to look at this photo to refresh my memory of it. I highly doubt the beard will make its appearance in real life again, so thank goodness I have a permanent record. ;)

You are a lovely family! Thank you for that picture, it is just heartwarming to see you all together.
My husband has a beard too. It used to be deep auburn red but now, its as white, and as soft, as snow. I love his beard :) None of our children has ever seen their Daddy without a beard, so they”d probably not know him!

Thank you for sharing about your husband’s beard. I like hearing that you love it. Jeff couldn’t believe I loved his. He couldn’t believe I thought it was soft. Now I know I’m not crazy because your husband’s is soft, too! I think it is neat that your children have never seen their Daddy without a beard. Love, Wardeh

I love the picture. Thank you for sharing. I am not fond of beards…lol…I was so relieved my hubs shaved off what little facial hair he had last year. I have been begging since before we got married. See when I first met him he had no facial hair….then he grew some…I like it off better…lol

That’s sweet that he shaved it off for you! Love, Wardeh

    Thank you, Michelle! Love, Wardeh

Your family is lovely, Wardeh. My husband just shaved his beard off. He pretty much had it since we became engaged – maybe before – neither of us can remember lol – at least 13 years, anyway. I am shocked and bereaved. I think a beard is very manly. But my husband is still a manly man even without a beard. I just miss it and can relate to your feelings :o )

Thanks, Lucy. 13 years is a long time. Wow! Will he grow it back or is it a permanent change? Love, Wardeh

Such a wonderful picture, I hope you frame it! My dhusband has had a beard for over 30 years..lol he shaved it off once when jeremy was little and when asked what he wanted for his Birthday that year, Jeremy responded..”I want Poppa’s beard to come back” so Bruce grew it back and now the auburn is almost gone for the white, but how I just love it..I could not amagine his kiss without one! warm hugs Wardeh and family..Mona

Dear Mona, I am going to get this picture printed. I was going to send you a copy of it, in fact! It might take me awhile though. I meant to do it today while I was out but didn’t take my memory card.

Thank you for sharing the memory of Jeremy and his Poppa’s beard. That is soooo sweet. Love, Wardeh

  6. What a lovely family picture, Wardeh! It’s so nice seeing you all together. My dh has a beard too, if you can call it that. He buzzes his hair down to “stubble” on top of his head every week or two and likes to keep his beard really super short to match, too. I would prefer he either grow it out more or just got rid of it completely, because the “stage” it’s constantly in (being so short) it’s always prickly. If it were a bit longer the hairs would lay down and it would be soft.

Amy, hello! I personally like the look of being clipped on top and in the beard. It probably would be softer grown out; you’re right about that. Any chance of you convincing him to go longer? Love, Wardeh

What a beautiful picture! My husband grew a beard, but honestly, I didn’t really like it. I do, however, love his goatee (a full one, not one of those shadowy little ones, LOL).

You know, Rachelle, this is so funny because Jeff considered cutting his beard down to a goatee and I said, “NO!”. I don’t really know that I wouldn’t have liked it but I either wanted the beard or no beard. Its a good thing that your husband can grow the full one. Love, Wardeh
