About Caught Up
God is so good to me. I am about caught up on the laundry! The clothes are coming out softer because there’s no detergent residue keeping them stiff. We’re using hardly any water, hardly any soap and hardly any electricity. This is amazing.
The time for one load, start to finish, is 1-1/2 hours. The washer takes about 1 hour to complete a regular cycle. The drying time is now about 20 to 30 minutes for a full load because the washer spins so much water out.
Last night, I put a load in the washer right before bed and gave it a delayed start time of 5 am. When I woke up at 6, the load was ready to transfer to the dryer. Awesome!
I am still having fun with the laundry; I don’t know how long this will last. I’m done with all the clothes and towels and now I’ve moved on to bedding.

Welcome Back!
We bought the Bosch Washer and Dryer about two months ago. WE LOVE THEM. I only have one complaint. I cannot turn the washers beeper off when the cycle is done. (Okay maybe two.) Plus I cannot turn thr wrinkle guard off on the Dryer. No throwing some clothes in before bed…lol Those wacky Germans should make things turn themselves off. ha ha
But I love the fact that we use less soap and water and power. The dryer is great too. When they arrived I washed everything. Even my queen sized down conforter washed perfectly. And throw pillows.
Have fun with them. I did.
Michelle
I’m happy to know we picked the same washer! So, tell me, regarding the throw pillows, what setting did you use? I want to do some pillows next. Love, Wardeh P.S. Yes, that beeping is what woke me up this morning. I needed to get up anyway…
Your new washer sounds intriguing… What a grand thing to have! What a blessing.
Wardeh,
I used the hand wash cycle and I put each throw pillow in a pillow case.
Have a nice night.
Michelle
Thanks, Michelle! I never would have thought about that. Love, Wardeh
Front loaders are just great are they not!! I love mine. 6 yrs ago we had a German model..a bosch. The down-side to owning anything in Europe is that all appliances have a built in obselescense (sp? which means that they are built only to last for a certain amount of time, because that’s the way the Common market works..it’s all to do with the economy. Most english people think the common market is a bad idea. :(..anyway our machine broke down after 6yrs and the engineer said that the parts were too expensive to replace as buying a new machine would be cheaper (oh this world!!). So we have a cheaper english model that we have had for 2yrs and so far it has broken down 3 times (argg!!) but it is cheaper to fix (go figure). I wish long life for yours Wardeh..maybe yours will be different and will serve you long and faithfully!!
Oh, no, Yvonne! We bought a Bosch! I wonder if ours will go out after 6 years? But anyway, front loaders are great! Love, Wardeh
