My sewing project for the day has been to finish up the boxers for Mikah. I’ve finished 6 pairs. The two light green pairs came from a thrift store sheet. They are really soft and nice. The others are from leftover cottons that I either had or picked up as remnants.

Here’s a closeup of what it looks like after the coverstitch machine attaches the elastic. You can see the triple-stitching on the topside. What you can’t see are the looper stitches on the underside. That looks really nice, too.

I also wanted to make him some pj pants today, but haven’t been able to get that far yet. All his current pjs are tight and short. We are tiring of seeing him wearing “capris” to bed — not the best look for a little boy! That’ll have to wait, though, for now it is time to get going on dinner.

They look really nice, Wardeh.
Are you using a purchased pattern or did you make your own?
I am working on setting Garibaldi sleeves into my reenacting blouse today…

Oh, ps, I moved my blog back to the t2chk site.
Hi, Sylvia! I didn’t use a purchased pattern. I just copied a pair that he has already that fit well. Actually, they are room and comfortable, which is even better. Wow! Garibaldi sleeves. I don’t even know what those are! I’d love to see.
And, selfishly, I am happy you moved your blog back. I have a hard time with Xanga loading on my slow internet connection. So I’ll be visiting more often!
Love, Wardeh
