Three Tote Bags

I made three tote bags yesterday and today. I am so thankful for having a serger; it really made short work of most of the bags’ construction. When we are out today, will stop at the bookstore where I’ve got a few cards and other totes for sale. I will add these bags to the collection.

Haniya, Naomi, Mikah and I have all declared that this is our favorite one of the bunch!

I didn’t like working with the black striped outer fabric. When I topstitched, even though my stitching lines are fairly straight, they look zigzagged if they’re not totally parallel with the tiny black stripes on the fabric.

Both of these prints came from JoAnn’s during their $1 per yard clearance. They are high quality quilting cotton. I prefer these kind of antique prints that aren’t too bold.

    They look great!

  2. Wardeh, surprisingly, I love the bag with the black lines. But they all are lovely! I personally find a tote bag the answer for me- a purse just doesn’t hold enough for me. You are very talented.
