Monday Morning

I am still under the weather. I have had a headache since last Friday afternoon. It comes and goes. I think I’m fighting off the cold that everyone else had but I haven’t succumbed yet. I hope I won’t! Lots of tea and Vitamin C are on the menu for me today.

The day must begin, though, and mine already has. I have bread rising and laundry going (lots of that to do today). The kids are ready for me to serve up their oatmeal and then we will start school. The bread I’m baking today has whole wheat, kamut, millet and spelt flours, along with rolled oats added in. I am so pleased with our bread since getting the Bosch. The kneading is incredible. I’m really, really thankful that the Lord blessed us with this great kitchen servant!

It is supposed to be a sunny, warm day today. The kids will be outside in the afternoon and I will rest and/or sew. Sewing is restful for me, if I’m not frustrated with the project of course. I plan to work on another of Jeff’s tool roll ups. Almost done!

We have to be ready to go out when the Azure truck comes into town. On the one hand, I’d like it to be in the afternoon so I’m not out after dark. On the other hand, I’d like it to be when Jeff is home, so I can go alone in his little truck. I guess I’ll be happy whatever happens. I’m eager to get my hands on the stuff I’ve ordered. I ordered sesame seeds to make more halawa. I am trying a new grain — amaranth. We are out of other grains and beans. I like stocking the pantry back up.
