Snow
We woke up to snow this morning. What a gift! Where we live it only snows once or twice a year. Last winter, it snowed for a few days, but not until March.
The kids are headed out right now. It isn’t quite 8 am. They asked if they could go out until I call them for school at 8:30.
It is too bad Jeff had to return to work today. We love it when he is home. We had a great holiday weekend. Friday we spent cleaning stuff up outside. I cleaned off the back porch. Jeff cleaned out the barn.
On Saturday my dear friend from college and her family came for a visit. They live an hour away, so we consider it a special gift that they would travel so far to see us. She made a gorgeous savory carrot and sheep’s feta bread to add to our dinner of chicken, rice and lentil soup. I hope she shares the recipe with me (I’ve asked).
Yesterday, Sunday, was another blessed morning at church and then a restful afternoon. Weekends like we just had make me so very, very thankful for my family.

SNOW!! Yay! We don’t often get snow here, either. How exciting!! Hope the kids had a bast playing in it!
