Church Quilt Top Finished

Using the blocks contributed by other ladies and young ladies in our church, I finished the quilt top today for the quilt we will donate to our pregnancy care center. I added the sashings (the dark blue print that frames the blocks) and the borders (the light blue print that frames the entire quilt). I got about halfway done on Saturday afternoon and then finished the top today. Just in time, too, for tomorrow I’ll hand it off to another family who will quilt all the layers together.

Sorry for the funny angle! That’s the best I could do with the available floor space. Now I’ve got to really quick vacuum the floors, get dinner started and fix the kids a snack of watermelon.

  2. Wow, I love it!! You sure are fast!!

  3. Thanks Karen and Robin! I sure do love the blues, too. And as for the fast part, well, all I did was straight seams to join them all. I thought it was taking me too long! ;) I expected to get it all done on Saturday but had to quit to make dinner that day. I wanted to finish it then because I knew it would be hard to fit in on a school day (and it was).
