Such Treasures

I started on the finishing steps of the Friendship Star Quilt yesterday afternoon by tying it. I decided against the machine quilting after I added a couple of ties and liked the way they looked. This morning, I sewed the binding to the outer edge of all the layers, turned it to the back and then hand stitched it in place. At some point, I’ll post the directions for how I finished my quilt. I have it almost entirely typed up, along with photos.

I will enjoy cozying up with it this evening. I am eager to see what the other ladies in the swap do with their quilts.
