Knitting Group Today
We have a day out planned today. It is the last Tuesday of the month and that is when we meet with our friends to knit (or crochet, as some do). There are three families who get together and then one of the lady’s sister-in-law comes too. This is a different group from the family with whom I quilt. I printed off some patterns to make a shawl. The one I started a couple months ago never turned out.
Since we’re going out today, this is our day in town. I have some fabric shopping to do at JoAnn’s. I want to make each of the girls a half-slip. I might try my hand at making some feminine pads (sorry to any guys who are reading this). I also have it in my mind to make rag quilt throw pillows for my college friend’s 30th birthday. I might also make Haniya a rag quilt for her 9th birthday coming up, but sshhh… she doesn’t know about it and shopping for my friend’s pillow might make her less suspicious! It is so hard to shop for my children when they are always with me! Fabric is not something I can buy on the internet
yet.
We will also go to Walmart and the grocery store. I’ll pick up the binder dividers and/or binder tabs that are needed to finish my Household notebook. Then I can share it here and on the T2CHK Message Board.
Ever since Jeff mowed the grasses on Sunday, my allergies have not been too bad. Praise the Lord! Hardly noticeable now compared to what they have been. The allergies left and the heat settled in. Yesterday was over 100 degrees just like Sunday was. Poor Jeff. He had a rough, hot day. He came home utterly exhausted. I think he had heat exhaustion. Today is only supposed to be 85 degrees, so I hope and pray he has a better day today.
