Friendship Star Quilt Blocks Done

Just finished! My set of 16 blocks for the Quilt Block Swap at T2CHK.

    The quilt block is absolutely beautiful! HOw long have you been sewing and how long does a piece like that take?

    Hi, Ellen. I love to sew! I mostly sew simple things because that tends to be our style, whether in home decorating or garments. And also, if something is too complex, then I lose interest ;) .

    This particular block didn’t take that long. I made 16 of them and with all the pressing, cutting and sewing they took probably around 6 hours.

    I have been sewing since I was seven years old, when my mom taught me. So I have been teaching my daughters since they were seven, to continue the tradition for which I am very thankful.

    Your Friendship Star is stunning! Someday I hope to place the F.S. quilt blocks I have into the center of a quilt, or perhaps make a wall hanging. Perhaps someday you and I could exchange a Friendship Star. Now that would not be too much – to make one,.
