Today

We are going to try to fit it a trip to the grocery store today, in addition to school and spring cleaning. It is 9 am right now and Mikah is all done with his schooling (math, phonics, handwriting and reading), which frees me up to clean the bathrooms while the girls work on their tablework that they can do independently. My plan is to have the bathrooms done by 11 am. The girls should be done by then, too, so then we can all do our reading aloud together. Then we’ll eat lunch and head off to the grocery store and still have plenty of time to get home, get it all put away and have a relaxing evening. That’s my plan, anyway! And now, I’m off…

  1. How did your day go dear Wardeh? :)
It is raining here now. I love the sound of pitter patter on the roof and ground. We are watching “Love’s Enduring Promise” on the Hallmark channel. I am muting it during the commercials so I can hear the rain.

I’ve been working on my lap quilt the past two evenings. I have these plastic sheets that have a pattern that I trace on my quilt with a washable pen. It is about 20 inches long and 8 or so inches wide. I have drawn the pattern three times thus far and am nearly done with sewing the third. I think it will take 12 more times of tracing the pattern to cover the quilt. Each time I finish one more pattern, I get a little more excited. I am really quilting! And it is fun. Hand quilting, at that! What a pleasure this has turned out to be.

Have a wonderful evening. Huggs, Robin
